TACbar
Teams of one Dutch and one foreign designer went to
investigate (Dutch) hospitality. Are the Netherlands still the
'one-cookie-with-the-coffee' country?
They had to find out what is different in hospitality by travelling.
In Eindhoven a bar was built, it crosses TAC from entrance A to entrance D. Along the 250m bar was a festival organised.
Each team designed a part of the bar.
The first 2 weeks Maaike Bertens investigated together with
Ophir Sela & Jantien Roozenburg (design duo established in
Tel Aviv, Israel) Israelian hospitality in Israel.
From the 5th of October they worked on the textile furnishing
of the TACbar and it's staff inspired by Israelian culture.
They reported this proces on the blog.
Their designs are inspired by Sukkot, a annual Jewish tradition, which is all about having guests.
