6 Artists/designers creating 'tools' for an industrial heritage.
They work on a mobile kitchen, flowerfield, vegetable and herb
garden, tableware, furniture and a brewery.
Workshops and lectures will be organised in collaboration with
experts, local inhabitants and associations.

Nicolaas Clopper tries to make the world understandable in the book
'Florarium Temporum', published in 1472.
From a geographical as well as historic view.
Besides the book, there
will be exhibited other projects.
These projects are focusing on the same question, mapping and/or understanding the world.
Kijk op Eindhoven will be exhibited.

Teams of one Dutch and one foreign designer are going to
investigate (Dutch) hospitality. Are the Netherlands still the
'one-cookie-with-the-coffee' country?
They will travel to find out what is the different in hospitality.
The Bar will cross TAC from entrance A to entrance.
A festival will take place along this 250m bar.
Each team takes care of a part of the bar.
The first 2 weeks Maaike Bertens will investigate together with
Ophir Sela & Jantien Roozenburg (design duo established in
Tel Aviv, Israel) Israelian hospitality in Israel.
From the 5th of October they will work on the textile furnishing
of the TACbar and it's staff inspired by Israelian culture.
They will report all this on the blog.

Design Express Eindhoven - Milano

Location: Zona Tortona, Milano, Italiy
Designers from Eindhoven redesigned caravans.
They travelled in a caravaan of 10 caravans to Milano.
Caravan nr. 10, is designed by Maaike Bertens , Piet Bergman and
Rico Sooren. They covered the caravan with recycled materials:
textile, wood and rubber.

Family of Form, 60 jaar Design Academy Eindhoven

From 13 January through 23 March 2008 the Designhuis Eindhoven
opens its doors to The Family of Form, an exhibition with works of
three generations of graduates from Design Academy Eindhoven.
In 2007 the exhibition was received with much enthusiasm at the
Salone del Mobile in Milan and the Institut Néerlandais in Paris.
Now for the first time and in its most extensive form The Family of
Form can be admired in the Netherlands. The reason for this
retrospective is the 60th anniversary of the Design Academy Eindhoven.
